Domestic Images in Black & White

My wife and I visited our oldest daughter and her family in Linthicum, Maryland, during which time we were present for the graduation party for their oldest girl. The house is great for natural-light photography, as there are many windows. I used my Lensbaby Spark lens for many of the shots, which gives a lot of control of the “field of view,” so that only what one wants is in focus. This worked well for individuals. I also rendered the images in black & white, because I liked the way that black and white simplifies things, and thus makes an image more arresting. Most of these are of my grandchildren, though there are a few of my wife, my daughter, her husband and a few friends from the same age group. There is one shot of a choir directed by a parishioner in my son-in-law’s church. One image, of flowers, is in color. Enjoy!
