Here we see sky, trees, rock, and water, a typical combination of elements in Northern Ontario landscapes. The textures are quite different, and lend themselves to toned black-and-white images. There is a starkness about the landscape — the lower vegetation springs up in the summer, but it disappears when the winter snow and cold sweep in.
